Who we are

Vorne LTD (company number 11688326) is the data controller for personal information collected through vorneltd.com. We are registered in England and Wales. What we collect

• Enquiries. When you contact us through the website form we collect the details you give us: your name, email address, phone number, project address or area, and the message you write. If you message us on WhatsApp or email, we receive the details you send there.
• Website usage information (only if you accept analytics cookies). Pages you visit, how long you stay, the type of device and browser you use, your approximate location (town or city level) and how you found our website. We collect this using Google Analytics. If you reject analytics cookies, none of this is collected.

Why we use it

We use your enquiry details to reply to you, to arrange a visit or quote, and to run a project if you become a client. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (responding to enquiries) and, if you become a client, performance of a contract. We do not use your details for marketing unless you have asked us to.

We use website usage information to understand how people use our website so we can improve it. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give or refuse using the cookie banner. You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie Settings link in the footer of every page.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We may share it with people who help us deliver your project (for example architects, engineers or sub-contractors) and with service providers who host our website and email. Google receives website usage information if you accept analytics cookies. Some of these providers may process information outside the UK, in which case we rely on appropriate safeguards such as approved contract terms.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become projects are kept for up to 12 months and then deleted. Client records are kept for as long as needed for the project, warranties and legal and accounting requirements. Website usage information in Google Analytics is kept for 14 months.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it. Email office@vorneltd.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Third-party services

Our website uses Google Fonts, which means your browser may contact Google servers when a page loads. Links to WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Houzz and the Federation of Master Builders take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.
